When we were younger, mom always told us to eat healthy and that breakfast was the most important meal of the day. However, in these times, breakfast is always overtaken time the time crunch. It seems no one has time to eat a healthy breakfast so many of use just grab a cup of java and go.

However, it seems that some people who are really fit are doing something mom definitely would not approve. Not only are they not eating breakfast but they are not eating at all for long periods of time. The shocking thing to this is they are becoming leaner and healthier.

This method is called Intermittent Fasting. This goes against everything that not only your mom but nutritionists and dieticians have said about healthy eating. A dietician will tell you to start with a nutritious breakfast and eat smaller meals about three or fours hours apart. With Intermittent Fasting, these dieters skip breakfast on purpose and some will fast for days on end.

This type of fasting is not recommended for everyone. It is important to remember t hat when you do eat, it needs to be fresh, nutrient-dense and unprocessed foods. You need to eat slowly and chew your food. Also, eating reasonable portions is important because you are still limited on your calorie intake per day.

The most important aspect of the Intermittent Fasting method is that you need to combine it with a regular exercise regimen. Combining exercise with healthy eating helps to ensure your good health and lean body.
