By the age of 30, Kyle Robertson had achieved what many entrepreneurs aim to achieve in their entire lives—founding a billion-dollar business that revolutionized an entire industry.
After Columbia University, Robertson relocated to San Francisco to bring a grand concept to life: creating a comprehensive, digital-first mental health platform. In 2020, he co-founded Cerebral with Dr. Ho Anh as the world grappled with the spread of COVID-19. Suddenly and rapidly, the pandemic closed doors to traditional, in-person mental health treatment and counseling. Demand for care through remote channels suddenly surged. Cerebral arrived at the right moment and its timely and accessible solution allowed it to deliver therapy, medicine management, and continuity of mental health services in a user-friendly digital platform. To millions of Americans, it became a lifeline during times of isolation and uncertainty.
By the time Kyle Robertson Justify Cerebral in May 2022, the company had already expanded from a far-reaching concept to a household brand, touching the lives of millions and worth in the multibillion-dollar range. But Robertson’s vision in the field didn’t stop there.
In response to the increasing requirement across the board for low-cost, stigma-free care across more areas of personal health, Robertson created Zealthy in early 2023. Zealthy positioned itself as a direct-to-consumer telehealth firm dealing with common yet typically ignored concerns such as hair loss, sexual health, access to birth control, skin concerns, and weight management. Zealthy’s model of technologically enabled convenience and monitoring by licensed medical professionals made quality care more available and less daunting to more people across the nation. With Zealthy, Robertson aimed to democratize wellness in the same way Cerebral democratized mental health.
Drawing from his own experience taking two high-growth companies public, Robertson created a unique combination of operating skills and leadership acumen. He used the traction to build Revolution Venture Studios (RVS), a venture-building studio with a more active investment strategy. Rather than waiting for bottoms-up, ready-to-go startups to emerge, RVS co-founds companies from the ground up. Robertson and his team collaborate with nascent concepts, invest in product development, and deliver hands-on advice—whatever and however needed to take fearless entrepreneurs from idea to venture.
Among its most promising ventures are Amara, a medspa roll-up; ScribeAI, a platform based on artificial intelligence used in clinical documentation; and Bioverse, anti-aging and longevity solutions. All share with their founder the common theme of being driven to apply innovation to real-world, everyday health and wellness concerns.
Kyle Robertson‘s endgame with RVS is both to fund the next generation of unicorn companies and to craft an ecosystem where purpose-driven business leaders can thrive. By making investments in impactful innovation and in developing leaders, he’s creating a new generation of leaders who are committed to growing solutions to make life better. Kyle Robertson with Revolution Venture Studios is planting the seeds of a future where business and social value are synonymous.
